Hibernation with 7

I know what Hibernation is, where RAM is copied to hard drive and shuts down.

Is it possible, after going into Hibernation, to disconnect the power cord?

No. That would be shutting down the PC. You will end up corrupting everything that was stored in your RAM that was placed on the hard drive and possibly even system files. Hibernation should be thought of more like StandBy than anything else.

Just because the information is stored on your hard drive doesnt mean that it is saved. It is just like using your hard drive like RAM. The info will be lost.
