I have a PC (my main PC) that when it tries to boot up, will get to the Windows XP flash screen (with the scrolling line), then flash the "blue screen of death" and then revert back to the DOS based reboot screen (the one the gives choices of Safe Mode etc...).

I've tried rebooting chosing the option "Last known Configuration that worked", and that does NOT work. The system just reverts back to the rebooting sequence.

Where do I go from here ??

System specs are in my sig.

Did you add any hardware or software since this has happened?

I did do a BIOS upgrade.... but it does get to the XP flash screen, so would that still be an issue ?

Also, I have been able to Boot up on another separate harddrive on the system with NO problems.

Just the Main HD is giving me this issue. Of course, all the system settings, configurations, programs, Emails etc... are on this main hard drive.

hit f8 to go to safe mode, then hit

disable automatic restart and tell us the error code

Have you tried re-flashing the BIOS to be sure it is right?
According to the BIOS boot screen, the Upgrade was sucessful.

It does boot up to the Windows XP flash screen, so I'm not sure the BIOS upgrade is still an issue (or not). ???

There is a split second flash of the BSoD, but it is impossible to read the error code(s).
