Help with Word 2002...Files Saving Twice!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!

I really needed some help here. Everytime I save a document in Microsoft Word 2002, another file with the exact same contents shows up in the same folder. However, this file looks different, it is slight darkened and grayed out. Additionally, the file begins with a ~$. I just delete the file, but it gets to be annoying. I recently had spyware on my computer this past weekend, but was able to clean it off using McAffee and Microsoft antispyware.

Likewise, I tried repairing and reinstalling Microsoft Word 2002 a number of times, but the problem still exists! It's so frustrating. Please help me resolve this!

ok that is just a second file to show that u have that document open...its nothing to worry about...

do you have the autosave feature enabled? thats a life saver sometimes
