Unhappy Help with a video

I have this video that whenever I try to play it, it just won't play. Then, I was trying to convert it with TMPGenc so I could make a VideoCD, and when I attempted to open it, I recieved an error message informing me that the file could not be opened.

Any know how to fix this so I can watch this video?

There is a good program for playing video files. Google VLC. If that doesnt work, you might need codecs to play those files. Do you have any video codecs installed on your computer?

Forgive my ignorance, but if I have ever known what a codec is, I have forgotten. Could you remind me?

I'll check out that program.

Thanks a lot,

There are different video codecs out there, they play xvid files, *.mpeg, *.avi. DIVIX had codecs you can dl from their site. Google nimo codecs and see if you can find them somme where. I have those and others on my pc and I havent found a video file i cant play.

ya, Nimo Codec Pack is great. A codec basically decodes the videofile so DirectX can show it (or something that way)

You can also try the Indeo Video Codec Pack.
