Help with services.msc needed

When I open services.msc and choose a service, I cannot get to the dependencies - it just sits there. I have to end process, mmc.exe to exit.

I ran the system file checker and it didn't help.

Any suggestions?

BTW, I only found out about this because I couldn't open any of the events in event viewer...

Scan for malware first. You may have to reinstall mmc.

I did that first thing nothing was found.

BUT when I rebooted this last time, services.msc is back to normal...
