Default Help Quickly

ok, so all this stuff was happening to my computer, for a second i thought it was going to be all over for me and my laptop, BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED THATS A MARACLE. ill explain later. im in the middle of downloading the OS windows xp, and i came to a part that syas where to format. u could format it like so:
Format partion using NTFS sysstem (quick)
using FAT system(quick)
ysing NTFS file system
using FAT file system

Which one do i pick!? all i want is it to be down loaded and ill be a happy camper.

using NTFS file system.

hmm i use the FAT File System and I have no clue why
