Angry help!!!please?? lost my desktop themes

i had a real bad virus...total system death...had to reformat drive...all working good now but windows system is real plain vanilla..hardly any sounds..and no desktop themes...really sucks..tried to download some new desktop themes...got crap that wont install...and 2 new trojans and 6 spywares in about 5 minutes...please help me get some stuff to make my system look and sound nicer.

Personally I use litestep (www.litestep.net) to replace the entire explorer shell. It uses less memory and looks a lot sleeker than explorer.

Try this
Type Services.msc inRUN dialog box and set THEMES service to Automatic.
