Hello,

I am running Win XP Pro (up to date with Sp and other updates) and Office XP SP2...I started having a problem in that when I shut down Windows, I get an Outlook not responding window, even though I've closed Outlook. I do a lot with my pc, so it's hard to isolate what I was doing when the problem started.

After a little more experimenting, I found that the outlook.exe process remains in memory (eating large chunks I may add!) even after I close the app. If I open and close Outlook 4 times in a row, I get four instances of the outlook.exe process running at the same time.

I thought maybe some program was trying to keep outlook open, so I tried the same thing minus Norton AV 2003 running, minus Sygate personal firewall pro, minus ArchiveXP, minus Messenger being on...and I still got the same problem.

I've seen in a number of BB's that lots of people have the same problem, but no answers are to be had...:(

So any help from you would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
