Hi.
Ive recently bought a Toshiba laptop and i was partitioning the 100 GB hard disk when i was dumb enough to close the computer using the button.

Now, it gives me a STOP:0x00000024 error when i boot it up. Ive tried some recovery tools and my data seems to be intact on the hard disk... now i don't know how to retrieve that.. the laptop has no floppy disk.

The toshiba recovery CD only has a fresh install option.... implicitly saying that i will lose all my data if i do that.

How can i transfer the data.. OR bring windows back to life?

Thanks a lot.

You could get a 2.5" laptop ide to desktop ide (or usb) adapter and transfer the data that way then do a fresh install of windows.

hey guys..
thanks for the help..
i was able to boot it over LAN and recover the data.
