HELP ME PLEASE!!!! Hello, I am not very good with computers and now I have screwed up BIG TIME. I have an old iMac with the os of 8.5.1. Whenever I boot it up now, it says that "bootr is not a recognized word", now I have to type "boot" for it to boot up. So when I try to install software which requires me to restart, it doesnt appear on the computer anywhere when it restarts. Does anyone have any clue as to what is going on? Thank you in advance!!!!!

I think this should be posted in the Mac Area...... Grrr.. Windows Only here... :)

It looks like there is a setup file somewhere that needs to be corrected. It says "bootr" when it should be saying "boot".

go to search, and try and find a file called boot - in Windows it would have .ini on the end but I don't know what it would be called with Macs - try opening the found files in a text editor, and if it says bootr, just delete the 'r' save, reboot and see if it works
