help on .exe and .lnk

Hey
when I turned on my computer today (BTW i run ad-watch which blocks bad registerys) it said something and i wasnt really paying any attention to it and clicked block.
now i cant run any .exe and .lnk files
i've deleted ad-watch and it isnt even running because it cant.
my regedit cant open my command promphet cant open..
what should i do?

If you haven't deleted ,there might be some hope of recovering.

Anyz, there is a possiblity of a virus roaming in your system. Well, if the total system looks screwed up, then try a 'repair' using windows XP disc. I would definetly go with a format and reinstall.

p.s: before you try any of the above, please make a virii/adware/spyware scan -if possible
