sweet....you know before this I could not find a decent mov to something else converter 
So based on this I gave it another go and have finally found what I've been looking for. It is none of the suggested, hehe. It is free and from a very reliable/dependable source.

however, to let you know how I used to go about it. I used to use Camstudio, the freeware one, and used to have to do a screen capture of a mov...now don't have to.
