whenever I have this problem, the M/S and CS pins are the problem. I switch them around until the probrem goes away. I've had times when the only hdd on the computer was set to slave to get it to be recognized as the master.

M/S and CS pings where are they?

i got windows installed but still takes 2 hrs got windows to start booting! i am at a loss right now. my HDD is set as master and is recognized as master. what should i do?

i set it to master, slave, and cable select all having same problem.

damnit i like this Mobo though. what do you think could be wrong with it, that lets it still run fine but takes forever to boot windows?

i have never had anything go wrong with this mobo, and nothing else is not being done or seen, my memory is fine and it detects the drives fine.

it's not recognizing the hdd correctly to properly boot. have you tried setting your bios to the fail safe defaults?
