Is there only 1 or 2 PCI-E slots on your motherboard? If there are 2 try the other one. If none of this is working you may have a bad card. If your old card starts doing the same thing then youll need to try some older drivers or a fresh install of Windows.
 
so were sure cus i have a 300what with +12v 18
and i dont what to take the time to retern it if its just the power

I finally got to check, and the 8400 actually needs more power, a 350W accorrding to evga.

Again, toss your old card back in and see whats up.
 
realy less power than a msi 256mb nx8400gs weierd
but i saent the evga back and i let you guys know what happens in a few weeks
