Is there only 1 or 2 PCI-E slots on your motherboard? If there are 2 try the other one. If none of this is working you may have a bad card. If your old card starts doing the same thing then youll need to try some older drivers or a fresh install of Windows.

It needs a 300w, which means you can go abit lower. The 8400 has the same i believe.

I finally got to check, and the 8400 actually needs more power, a 350W accorrding to evga.

Again, toss your old card back in and see whats up.

Then saddly you got a dud. The new card uses less power than the 8400.

yha, the chip is actually smaller i believe, and more efficient.
