headers in word document

Hello

I was trying to make headers in this word document i have created. However i can't see the header1, header2 .....

i dont know what option selects that?



i am using word 2002, and can see something called outline level whcih gives me the otions "body text", llevel1, level2 and so on. but they dont seem to do anything when applied to text.

You wont see the header on the document itself, but you will when you print it out.

Let mem rephrase that. I Office XP, I use that at work, thats what happens, but I just tried Office 2003, I selected view, header and footer and I put it on my document which I can see.

i did not mean the header from the header and footer

i meant the heading which forms part of the Table of contents, if i add that later on
