I just got GTA IV for Christmas, installed it, and was looking forward to a great game.
Much to my dismay, when I went to activate it I kept getting an error:
"That serial number was not found in the database".
At first I realized I was doing it wrong, because it was kind of confusing:
I was copying the activation code from below. Then I found the product key on the manual inside the case, and I thought I had figured the problem out, but I was wrong.
I still get the same message. I retyped the code 3 or 4 times with no different results.
Could somebody have stolen my serial number? The game was sealed in original package. So I don't know what to do next.
