Unhappy Group Policy Problems

Im playing around with AD and I cant get a group policy to work for a user I created.

I just did something simply like removing "My computer" from the desktop...and it wont work when I log in under the user.

Here are some screenshots

What am I doing wrong?

In what way "wont it work", if it is allowing things that shouldnt be there or any other odd inheritance, then choose the option for "block policy inheritance", also check the advanced settings.
If you argue with an idiot he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
