going from windows xp sp2 to sp1

i was wondering how one would going about doing that?. I trying to preempt a problem i might have. Just ordered new hardware for my computer and didn't see that someone who had ordered the xfx geforce 8800gt said he had problems with xp 64 sp2 and when he went back to sp1 it work fine?

any thoughts

I would at least try it with SP2 first. I can't imagine that there would be a problem with it.

You can not downgrade if the system has SP2 already installed. Try upgrading to SP3. There are not issues recorded with that is there?
