With Gmail being down I was wondering if there was a way to save all the emails

What is it you are trying to do exactly? All you emails are auto saved on teh GMail servers under All Mail till you delete them from their servers.

assuming u have ThunderBird that may help or if u use outlook use Raze's suggestion

that was about 3 hours ago...

I'm just looking for a place to save all my emails other than on google's servers. I guess I will go with thunderbird.

You can use Thudnerbird, Outlook, Outlook Express. Any of those will download the mail for storage on your PC.
