with password renew it take however long it take to boot up a cd. if the computer is set not to boot from cd (like a password protect Laptop), you take the hdd out and hook it to this.

Newegg.com - BYTECC BT-300 USB 2.0 to IDE/SATA Adapter - Retail

then boot from cd on another computer with this hooked up. then you head to the windows folder of that drive. this is assuming that you are using this for legel purposes
