I just reinstalled Win XP. I got rid of all my problems but now, everytime the computer starts or restarts I get a screen that asks me to choose which O.S. I wish to boot-up in. My choices are windows xp or windows xp. Is there a way bypass this screen? Thanks.

This will be easy. Boot into the OS you just installed, go to start, run, type msconfig. Go to boot.ini and click on "Check all boot paths" and then hit ok to remove the non valid boot path and then reboot

Sorry, didn't fix it. Both OS showed up and none would go away. However, you DID fix my problem anyway. There was an option to change the length of time the boot screen appeared. I changed it from 30 seconds to 3 seconds. Now it comes and goes so fast it's hardly noticed. Thanks much for the help. I did know about msconfig to remove items from startup but boot.ini is new knowledge.
