Default Generic host process error - no sound

Running XP SP1. I loaded up bf2, and it crashed, forcing me to restart my computer manually. After i load back up again, it got that error that said 'generic host process for win32 services has encountered a problem..." and then i lost my sound.

The message has only popped up once, so i can't read what it said. I have no sound, and reinstalling the sound blaster drivers did not help.

What do i do?

Here is a hijack log file:

Well, I have also had this error message pop up, but I did not know why. It would come up, and no matter what option I chose (send, dont send) it would always come back. Most of the time, the message would come up, but it would be Windows Explorer needs to close, then Generic ...

Anyway, I couldn't get it to stop. So, I backed everything up on a external hd, and reinstalled windows, havent seen the message since.

Yes, its a bit extreme, but it works.

Why would you need to pay more money?
