Games either freeze or crash my computer..

Umm, anyone know about the Antec line? can a 480W Antec PSU provide enough power for a superclocked 8800GT and a Q6600?

I thought that with that type of CPU and the 8800 series line that you should have at lesat 550W of power if not more. Both the 8800 series and teh Q6600 are power hungry.

then couldn't that be his problem? he's starving his CPU when he powers up the card.

Yes that could be the problem. Didnt think of that nice catch. But this would happen system wide. But he does mention that the PC crashes alot.

So yeah get a mroe powerful PSU.

That doesn't seem to be causing major issues, but I reinstalled my nvidia drivers and it doesn't freeze anymore.. well it didn't freeze in the 2 hours I played team fortress 2 last night. Thanks for the help! I guess the problem was that I had installed the drivers that came with the video card, and then installed forceware from the nvidia site... oops.
