Game plays for 30 minutes, then pc crashes

Ok so far in the games Gary's Mod, Half-Life Blue Shift Source, and Battlefield 2 have all been acting up where after, i guess 30 minutes it crashes and goes between the last thing you saw and looks like 2 frames mixed together as blocks. I only know this happens in thses games because these are the ones im playing. All i know is my whole pc crashes.

Well, It's too bad.
There might be several causes:
1. overheat your HDD, power supply.
2. problems with video card.
3. problems with DDR.
You should test all your hardwares.

If the PC totally crashes i would suspect an overheating issue with your processor. If it was just your video card i believe it would just go back to your desktop and not fully crash your PC. It could also be RAM but it sounds more like a overheating processor to me.
