Full System Recovery!

I just had to reset my computer to its factory defaults because of I virus that was on my computer. I had to re-install Windows 7, and I haven't done anything but added 3 user accounts and install google chrome. I can not figure out why my computer is having slow performance. My computer is a HP Pavillion Elite m9500y. Please help?

Is it overheating in anyway? Make sure the system is cleaned and air flow is good. You said you reinstalled Windows, which would me you reformatted and stuff? Also make sure all the drivers are up to date. You can also test the memory with Memtest.

Which drivers should I check to see if they are updated. The system should not be overheating and the airflow and cleanliness should be good considering I cleaned the PC 2 weeks ago.

The room doesnt matter. Is the inside of the case free of dust bunnies? Is there any dust build up in teh fins of the heat sink? Those are more major concerns than the room it being stored in being clean.

You need to check all drivers. Chipset, video, sound, network and anything else that can be updated from either the PC Manufacturer's site or the products website.

Well yea I know its the fans, I did clean the PC out. I should I have just said I cleaned the PC my bad on that. I will work on the drivers thank you.

Did you have any optimization programs on the computer before you did the full recovery?
