Freezing and BSOD's

I recently bought this:

ever since I installed it, my pc keeps freezing... ,, every once and a while I get a bsod... (I'll post what it says later depending on weather it comes up again or not)

so, my question is...

why is this happening, is it a weird coincidence, or is the wireless adapter to blame?

(I plan to reinstall windows [my pc does need a cleanup])


also, that adapter gets really hot(not damaging though), should it be doing that?

do you have it set for windows to manage it or the software that came with it?

Do you have another wireless device?

I'm new to wireless networking, and I have only used it for a halo lan party so far...

I installed the drivers off of the cd (which added an icon on the taskbar for it)

then I set up a network through windows...

this is my only wireless device, (unless the ones built into laptops [which I added to my network]count)

i always let windows manage my wireless. The program doesnt always do a good job. In the wireless properties, choose let windows manage the wireless network and uninstall the software, al you need in the drivers

that's how I have it set...

my pc froze up last night, and the wireless was not plugged in...

so.... perhaps a fresh install of windows might be good (really needs it anyway)
