Default Freeware Utilities vs Shrinkwrap

I have recently found that the freeware utilities tend to be better then shrink wrap utilities that you have to pay for. I recently purhcased a copy of V-Com's Utilities Pro. The disk cleanup wizard had some problems cleaning a few files on my PC. So I went and downloaded C Cleaner, a freeware utiltiy that did the same thing that did not have much problem with anything on my computer. I am therefore thinking of replacing my shrink wrap utlities from V-Com with various freeware utilties from the Snapfiles web site that this forum pointed out. What is your oppinion of this issue? Do you find that freeware utilities tend to run better then their shrink wrap cousins?
