Free slideshow program

I need a program that can save slideshows as AVI or MPEG, and as I said, I'd like it to be free. I think adobe makes one, but im not sure.

have you tried save as-> powerpoint show, theres an option that will play it as a movie and not through PP.. I think Powerpoint show is it.
