free Partition software for win xp or vista

Is there any free partition software for Win XP or Vista, like Partition Magic?

depends on what type of partitioning you are talking about....
Vista can partition for free....let me see if xp can...
guessing xp doens't have this?

I believe GParted does this, if I'm not mistaken.

Killdisk was suggested to me by HP's customer service. It didnt work on my HDD though. Actually alot of things dont work on my HDD , so I dont think Killdisk was the problem. Another is "Partition Logic".

Killdisk is not a partition software... Killdisk is a HDD eraser. Permanently erases data off of the drive by writing over all of the data on the drive, with 0's and 1's.

if you don't need to rush...go request some free ubuntu cds...which I guess have the gparted installed as part of the live cd? then use that are carnage suggests

I like free software, plus the ones they send you free discs so I don't have to burn any

Yeah, Ubuntu uses GParted.

yup, used gparted quite a bit. even works great with VM's
