Hi, I recently wanted to format the computer. However, when I placed my CD in and boot up my computer, nothing is detected and I've recieved an error when loading it from windows

"Setup cannot continue because the version of
Windows on your computer is newer than the version on
the CD.

Warning: If you decide to delete the newer version of
Windows that is currently installed on your computer,
the files and settings cannot be recovered."

When I tried using F8 at startup to check for "boot up with CD", there was no such option.

What should I do?

Go into your bios, set it to boot from cd. Most of the time, when you reboot with the cd in there, it will detect it and boot from it so you can install it. Or download a boot disk from www.bootdisk.com and format it then install xp
