Default formatting windows

i installed the vista home premium upgrade. i just wanted to know if i format will i be able to reinstall xp. werent there rumers that your xp key was voided or whatever once you installed vista.

i have a lot of junk and i want to start off fresh.

If you have a Windows XP cd and serial number I believe you can format and reinstall Windows XP without any problems.
