If i formatted my flash drive to ntfs... will that format the readyboost as well or is readyboost on the firmware?

Yes. That will get rid of all teh readyboost info on the drive. Just plug it back in and set it back up.

So your saying I can set readyboost back up after i format it? I just want to be very careful cause I don't want to lose it... i paid for a 32 gig flash drive and found out only 4 gigs could be set. But I guess now I have a portable mass storage device.

If Vista recognizes that it can be used as a ReadyBoost device then yes. You can set it back up.

But if you ahve more than 1GB of RAM. ReadyBoost is a waste. Plus ReadyBoost should be double your RAM. So you should have @GB of ReadyBoost for a1GB system. Since 4GB is the Max the Max RAM you should have is 2GB.

Anything mroe. You dont use it anyways.
