Question Formatting...

Ok long story short my dad has taught me everything I know about computers (And a handy A+ book) and recently I beat the crap out of him in front of an autozone stores (dont ask) and I cant really call him up and ask him how to format a disk. I could look it up in my A+ book but I'm afraid I'll screw it up. If anyone could post how to reformat my C and D drives (C is where the OS is, D is for Games and Misc.) I would greatly appreciate it.

The last problem I have is that my dad gave me a copy of his XP CD and he didnt give me the CD key, is there a way to tell or "grab" the CD key off a CD??

U can format d: under any situation ,but if u want to format c: u can use a bootable CD to get into MS-DOS, then type "format c: /q".
