Formatted Drive

I have just formatted my previously partitioned hard drive for the first time and now can't get the computer to boot up with the boot disks I made before the formatting. The original operating systems were Win Me and Xp and I am trying to load Win 2K Pro. The boot disks come up with the error that it can't read a text file in Boot disk number 1.
I have a copy of Win 2k Pro in Cd form but it won't let me run this .
Is this Hard drive now a boat anchor for me?

The hard drive should be fine. Look in your BIOS, (access button usually specified in early stages of boot). There should be a boot list, make sure that either floppy or cd are first and that the other is secondary.

Looks as if your discs are corrupted, try making some more.
