Default foobar and the system process

im running foobar 0.8.2. everytime im playing music my system process sits theres between 5 and 15% fluctuating back and forth. if i stop the music it goes down to 0% if i pause it, it still stays at the 5 to 15%. besides getting a new player cuz i like this one is there nething i can do about that. i had foobar installed on my last install which was xp home and i never saw the system process go above 0%. i now have xp pro and now it does this. if it was necessary i wouldnt ***** but since it worked hunky dory fine before on home without using up unnecessary cpu time i want it fixed. is there a setting or some else retarded that ive overlooked. help plz

forgot to mention that foobar usually uses 0-3% cpu time when playing
