hi,
I'm new here and hope someone can help me.
I've been trying to install a font I copied from a WinXP machine onto my WinME laptop with a file name of "caligorn.ttf". When I try, I get an error message that says "The caligorn.ttf file is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Wait until windows is finished using the file and then try again."
This font is NOT installed on the laptop and the file name isn't the same or even similar to one already installed on the laptop.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

This drove me crazy for quite a while. I found no help anywhere on the subject. So I used good ole trial and error. In windows 2000 on the font installation dialog box is a checkbox that reads "Copy fonts to fonts folder" Simply toggling this OFF and ignoring the warning allowed the installation to procede.
