I know this can be done because it worked before I reformatted so there must be something really simple that I am missing. Basically I have some folders that I want the contents to have icons, others I want details, others I want thumbnails. It's weird because I make them look the way I want them and after a few days they all go back to "list view" which is my default. It doesn't always happen and sometimes it will do it after a reboot, other times it does it on a random day, even after a few hours. How can I fix this ?

I'll give that a shot, but I don't think there is something wrong, I just think I am missing an option somewhere.

What i usually do is hit F11 twice. Once takes it to full screen the 2nd time it takes it back to the window size and shape that i had it. After that it is saved the way i want it. I dont know if this is a glitch in Vista or what. But this seems to work.

Are you running CCleaner? If so, this will revert your folders back to default

no, it does it without CCleaner, I did check for that.

I'll do the F11 thing and I am waiting to see if it does it again.
