Fix UXTheme.dll with linux?

Can I fix my Uxtheme.dll problem with linux? I think I am missing the file. I recently uninstalled a "Theming" Program which may have deleted the file. How can I copy the dll file into my windows partition through linux? I am running Knoppix 4.0 right now as a temporary OS until I can fix my windows OS. Otherwise I have to reinstall

maybe u can boot from a PE cd and copy it over?

Thanks, I've already got the dll file. When I try to copy it over it says I don't have access? Do you know how I can modify the permission?

can u get in windows safe mode?

Yes but Windows GUI doesn't load. Thats why I need to put Uxtheme.dll back into the system32 directory so the GUI will load up. Without that all I get is the background.

Maybe a repair install?

Would installing windows in the same partition (Over writing ) be the same? I remember an option like that when I installed windows a while back.

Go through like ur doing a clean install, and you should get an option for repair install.

Turns out I've decided to just install Linux as my primary OS, running Ubuntu. Thanks.
