Default firewalls and antivirus

I was wondering what are the best firewall programs out there? I was looking for the most user friendly, while also offering good protection.

I was also looking for a good anit virus program, I have had norton in the past, and am really not sure if I am completely impressed with what they have to offer.

Thank you

I believe that Symantec makes Norton AntiVirus...

Have you tried AVG? It's a free anti virus program that works well. Here's the URL http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1

I would agree with Warez Monster as far as a firewall goes I am using Zone Alarm myself and it works great. It's simple and easy to setup.

I use Norton Internet Security 2004 (came free with my MOBO), but currently I have Kerio Personal Firewall and Avast! anti-virus setup on the parents computer, but I am soon going to replace those with AVG's Anti-Virus PLUS Firewall beta.
