Unhappy Firewalls

I have a question in mind, i am using windows 98 and i want to set up a firewall system, can i use or download any free software without the need for hardware, please i am not good at this i need an explanation.

I second that link. It's a s/w firewall. Ideally, you want a s/w and a h/w firewall working in tandem. But, a s/w firewall is good enough for most purposes. Also, make sure you have a good antivirus and good spyware programs. If you go to the download section of this site, you will find links.
