well the most common servers these days are linux and unix based, and the linux variants use a freeware based packet filtering scheme, which is also quite common on many standalone routers and firewalls

You may want to read his original post... hes not using linux or unix. hes using 03 Adv server.


Packet filtering schemes are now being replaced by : Stateful Inspection.

Well what piece of hardware do you use? A switch? I know they have security measures, but hubs dont. Or do you use a router?
