Default Find Windows Product Key?

Hi everyone,
I need to reinstall my OS, Win XP Pro Media Edition. But I seem to have misplaced my hard copy of the product key (the jewel box). Is there a way to recover the key from the registry or elsewhere, before I reinstall?

Thanks,

Elchanan

Or

http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

These utilities may just return the manufacturer's factory installed product key rather than yours.

"So the whole 'We have a list and we're not telling you' should tell you something. Don't you think that if Microsoft actually had some really foolproof patent, they'd just tell us and go, 'nyaah, nyaah, nyaah!'?"
