Default Find my cd key!!

How do I find my cd key for windows xp home? I read these 2 things

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

OK how the **** do I get there!


Magic Jelly bean program or w/e.... wont extract properly for me

Actualy I HAVE my cd key for windows xp home on this pc and its different then the key it gave under this ( product id )

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion


Now I need the 25 character CD key for my bros comp.. I can do it on his but I need to know how to find it out! NOT THE PRODUCT ID....

That will lead you to your product ID not your CD KEY (that registry key) download a program called ROCK XP and it will display the CD KEY for you.

RockXP is the program you need but don't always trust it. Once it gave me an entirly different CD key than the one I installed a few weeks before running the program >.<

Isn't your product key for windows labeled on the side or back of the computer? Unless your computer was custom built and not a branded computer.

Dell slipstreams a diffrent key onto there cds. (Assuming you have a dell)
