I need a piece of software that will sort out or filter in\out specific files.
This software should support a large list in any format.
The input list format is not an issue....probably delimited...

I have a large number of photos and i recieved an xls(excel) worksheet with a list of filenames, and I would like to know if there is any software filter out any filenames that are not listed in that list from a folder\directory. I've tried using the windows search but it doesn't like a very long comma delimited list. A search program that can handle a long list will do just a good, as long as you can copy the found names to a new directory....

a vbscript could do it

it could open the excel file through a odbc connection
pull a filename from the list
check if its there
if yes, copy to a specified dir
pull next name until no more names


meh, maybe an hour's work. pm me if you want me to write it.
