Lightbulb File extension display

My problem is this. On some Windows OS’s a file e.g. document.doc will be displayed as icons but the file will have under it the name “document” without the .doc how do I change it so all files have their extensions displayed as well as the name??

Open My Computer. Go to Tools>Folder Options>View Make sure to uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types. That should show you the extensions for those files.
