Hi
How do i find out what the extension of a file is

when i look it up in windows explorer, i don't get any extension

also can you guys tell me how to navigate to say program files in DOS

i mean how dows DOS take care of blank spaces :(

Start>settings>controlpanel>folder options

uncheck "hide known filetypes"

DOS/CMD:

dir=list directory content
cd foldername=open folder
cd.. or cd\=go up 1 folder

also, for long dir lists use either dir /p (for pause, or press a key to continue) or dir /w (for extended width).

I meant if i were to navigate to say the "program files"directory sincei t has got a blank space, how do i deal with it
