I updated Windows 7 Pro and tried to open a folder and got this message. Then I restored Windows. How can I stop this from happening when I update Windows?

I couldn't get into any folder after I updated WIndows 7 and got this message.

You might also try inserting your hard drive into another computer as an external hdd and see if you can open it on that.

Your Windows is damaged and You must repair or reinstall it.
Folders should be opened always using windows explorer. It is normal Windows function, which is always available automatically. If not, it means the computer is corrupted. Usually is very old installation, which has been only updated, but not cleaned, was not maintained as required, etc. Result is that now is time to do repairing, cleaning or if needed, new and clean Windows installing.
