98: system resources issue; causes crashes/lockups

2000: nice but lacking functionality of xp

xp pro: my fav. stable os. provides extra built in functions that 2k does not such as cd burning, zip compression, & EFS.

XP Pro is my favorite.
Windows ME looks the best, but at the same time it sucks the most.
Windows 2000 feels good, comparable to XP, but XP is better.
98SE is very good. Still sufficient for running 80% of todays software. Maybe even more.
95 will have trouble loading a lot of apps.

current - xp pro

favorite - 2k3 server, very stable, clean looking, secure.

if i didn't have xp or didnt use some of the stuff i use in xp and 2k3 i'd definitely be using 2k but because xp just works im using xp.
