Default fast shutdown

Windows XP Home, I saw a post somewhere on the net about a one click shutdown for XP. You had to make a shortcut on the desktop and there was something that you typed in the box that came up. There was one for 1 click restart and 1 click shutdown. I had it on another computer, that is another problem, and I cannot find it now. Does anyone know what it is and will you post it here?

Yes, the file is located (for XP) in Windows\System32\shutdown.exe
From the command prompt, type shutdown /? for a list of the switches with the command.
I was able to find a good page a long time ago on this and sure's still there

Another way to fast shutdown, you can use a "one press shutdown" if your keyboard has the Standby button. To do that, first open Control Panel and do:

--> Power Options
--> Advanced
--> Power buttons

In the box "When I press the sleep button on my computer", you can choose standby, hibernate or shutdown
