Fake dual boot?

I was reformatting a Dell with the recovery cd...and then I used the driver cd to get all the drivers back...and now every time I restart, a dual boot menu comes up...both with windows XP. the second boot doesnt do anything but error out, but this is for a client, and I need to get rid of this...anyone have any ideas?

Go to your C: drive (make sure all hidden files are visible), open boot.ini, and either:
1. Set the timeout to 0.
2. Delete the second line starting with "multi..."

msconfig, check all boot paths, delete the one that it says to delete
